The Digital Revolution Reshaping Financial Ecosystems
Why payments are now a strategic imperative
Payments are no longer just about speed—but about trust, strategy, and unlocking enterprise value. From tokenisation and biometrics to AI-driven intelligence, the way consumers pay and get paid is transforming boardroom priorities and customer experiences alike. Real-time infrastructure like Australia’s NPP and PayTo is accelerating settlement, reshaping compliance, and driving innovation across the ecosystem.
Beyond security, payments are emerging as one of the richest data streams—fuelling predictive analytics, fraud detection, and personalised engagement at scale. In a world where every transaction is both a risk and an opportunity, understanding why payments are no longer a back-office function but a strategic lever for growth and resilience is imperative.

Democratising Archaeology, Revolutionising Education
At Australian Catholic University’s Archaeology of Ancient Israel program, virtual Reality and digital heritage are reshaping how history is taught and experienced. Through a mixed reality reconstruction of the Lachish excavation — conducted with Hebrew University — students encounter the reign of Rehoboam, Judah’s third king. Once a fortified city second only to Jerusalem, Lachish stood in the Shephelah, the same borderlands where David faced Goliath.
Digitally resurrected with 360° 4K recording, photogrammetry, and 3D scanning of Israel Museum artefacts, the site is brought to life in VMuse, an immersive Virtual Museum platform for teaching, research, and outreach. This presentation shows how digital heritage is not just preserving the past but transforming the future of equitable learning.
