Lior Handelsman is Managing Partner at Grove Ventures, one of Israel’s leading early-stage venture capital firms focused on deeptech and transformative technologies. He brings a rare combination of deep experience in scientific innovation, startup execution, and global scale-up.
Lior is also the founder of SolarEdge (NASDAQ: SEDG), where he helped invent and develop the company’s core technology. He played a pivotal role in its growth from a small startup to a multi-billion dollar global leader in smart and renewable energy.
Before founding SolarEdge, Lior worked at Israel’s Electronics Research Department (ERD), one of Israel’s national labs tasked with developing innovative and complex systems. At ERD, he managed large-scale, multidisciplinary R&D programs across power electronics, signal processing, and secure communications.
Lior holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (cum laude) and an MBA, both from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
